I've held leadership roles in leading global companies, acting as a catalyst for sustainable business approaches that drive performance and enhance risk management.  This has been possible through years of cross-functional engagement, leading through influence, and bringing together diverse stakeholders to address one of the biggest challenges in business today. 

Raised on a small family farm in rural Pennsylvania, I learned early that being successful at the difficult business of farming over the long run was only possible by being a good steward of the land and natural environment.

My education at leading global institutions including MIT and Carnegie Mellon University taught me to bring a creative and open mindset to key challenges facing the building design, construction, and real estate industries as sustainability emerged as a generational challenge.

During my early career as an architect, I was an early adopter of leading green building principles, working with clients, authorities, engineers, and contractors to deliver high performance sustainable projects with lower environmental impacts.

As a sustainability leader at data centers and AI infrastructure, industrial real estate, and clean energy, I exercised a strategic view of business priorities, impacts, risks, governance, and opportunities in my work across rapidly growing and globalizing industries.

A through-line that drives my life-long interest is a recognition that business realities and sustainable opportunities can, and must, coexist. Sustainable opportunities emerge often in the space between established business activities, new challenges and disruptions, and emerging technologies. I am passionate about identifying these opportunities early, acting on them with conviction, orchestrating them well, and governing them effectively. This drives the greatest value for both business and the environment.
